The past few days have been a whirlwind of Taylor Swift mania, with the singer officially blessing fans with her 10th and surprise 11th studio albums in one go.

Titled The Tortured Poets Department, this latest era has one of the most distinct aesthetics yet. In this album, we see an evolution from the rainbows and glitter of her Lover days to a more ‘soft Gothic’ look that aptly complements the dark romances she sings about.

Naturally, this moody release has not only brought its fair share of easter eggs but has already graced us with plenty of incredible fashion moments. From her haunting promotional photos to the ‘Fortnight’ video clip that also stars Post MaloneEthan Hawke and Josh Charles, if this is just a taste of what’s to come, we thought we better keep track of her new era outfits.

Luckily, Sarah Chapelle, who runs the Swiftie fan account @TaylorSwiftStyled, has been on the case, too, already identifying a slew of Swift’s TTPD looks. Ahead, everything we know about Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department style.

Channelling a Virginia Woolf-esque character, Swift wore this era-appropriate set. The waxed denim top with ruffles and puffed-up sleeves is reportedly from UNTTLD, while the whimsical skirt hails from Elena Velez‘s Fall 2024 collection.

From being suspended on a bed to swallowing miscellaneous pills and smashing mirrors, the singer opted for maximum drama with her outfit for this particular scenario.

Crafted by Australian designer Toni Maticevski, the ‘Candescence’ dress is a structurally bold gown with an asymmetrical draped skirt and angular neckline on the bodice. To double down on the ethereal romance of this look, Swift also opted for sheer sleeves.

In one of the most (arguably) modern looks featured in the ‘Fortnight’ video clip, Swift sits in the rain above a telephone booth in a sparkling mini dress that comes from Celine’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection.

In one of her earlier promotional images for the album, Swift was photographed laying on a bed in a billowy lacy blouse, which some fans have deduced is the ‘Frances’ shirt by Khaite.

As she’s poked and prodded by ‘doctors’ Post Malone, Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles in ‘Fortnight’, the singer donned a white menswear shirt by Vivienne Westwood. Worn unbuttoned at the neck, the shirt’s large frills cascade down the centre.

Spotted in some of her Spotify visuals was an ethereal white dress, which Chapelle first clocked as the ‘Lally’ silk dress in white from Khaite’s Pre-Fall 2024 collection. Though it, too, is sold out in most sizes, many will delight in knowing the black iteration is very available.
